TWO RHYMING RIDDLES
1)
Water may splash me, but none seeps through;
Protecting you is what I do.
Of colors, I come in quite a range,
When I'm injured, my hue will change.

2)
Here's a little riddle about something in the middle,
Truly a part of a thing we like to eat;
Yet we do not eat it, for it is neither plant nor meat.
It has no flavor, it has no weight,
And yet it lies upon the plate.
If the baker should ignore my space,
By something else it must be replaced.
So eat me and enjoy me,
Though in fact you can do neither;
I add nothing much at all,
And I don't add calories either.

Answers:
1. Skin
2. The hole in a doughnut
