Ruddy globes with stars inside,
Decorate the countryside.

Slowly and carefully turn me about,
If you pull too hard, I'll never come out.

We open for business
In the early morning light;
Our work stops abruptly
When we close for the night.

My mother lay upon her bed,
She felt a slight vexation;
Beneath the waters I was born,
To soothe her irritation.
