1. FERSHTAY? - Do you understand?
2. FERDRAYT - Dizzy, very confused
3. PISHER - as in CALL ME PISHER - Who cares what others think?
4. YENTA - busybody, gossip (usually an older woman)
5. ZEYDE - Grandpa - Mate of Bubbe
6. ZHLUB - Clod - lacking manners, insensitive person
7. ZAFTIG - Supple, plump, appealing - as a shayna maidle (can be offensive)
8. DREYKOP - One whose head (kop) is ferdrayt
9. EKVELT - Lost - the middle of nowhere
10. PUNIM - Face - said when pinching chubby baby cheeks
11. SHIKER - (rhymes with sicker) A drunk
12. GATKES - Underwear
13. SHPILKIS - (to have) Be on pins and needles - nervous - antsy
14. TANTA - Aunt (endearment)
15. SIMCHA - Joyous occasion - good, selfless deed
16. SHMOCHNA - A toy
17. FEH - as in FEAther - Ugh, Ick - expression of disgust - as in your mother's response when you ask for a pet rat
18. GA ZIE GA ZINK / GA ZINE GA ZOONT - Go in good health - Do whatever you want - Fine, don't listen to me - see if I care
