PRO AND CON  I

The words in GROUP A all have synonyms or near-synonyms that begin with PRO. The Group B word synonyms all start with CON. If you discount their respective PRO and CON prefixes, every Group A answer has a mate in Group B that shares all of its letters except one.  For example, COMPLAINED in Group A can be answered with a synonym - PROTESTED. In Group B, STUFFED UP can be answered with CONGESTED. Dropping the prefixes, TESTED and GESTED differ by only one letter. Can you match up the words from the two groups?
