MORE THAN ENOUGH III

Stephen Sniderman
Each trio of short words below represents a familiar, longer word. To reconstruct each longer word, first drop the extraneous letter from one short word (the result may or may not be a word, and may be a single letter). Then switch the positions of two of the resulting trio members, and, finally, eliminate the spaces.
For example, given the clue words GAP ME HONEST, you would cross out the T in HONEST, switch GAP and ME, then bring the three parts together to reveal MEGAPHONE. If the clue words were HIVE AT TENT, you would cross out the H in HIVE, switch AT and TENT, then eliminate the spaces to form TENTATIVE.
