Each line of words below contains six pieces from two or three longer words that begin with the same letter. The first letter of these longer words has been dropped, and the remaining letters have been broken up into shorter words. These shorter words are in alphabetical order. By adding the right starter letter and regrouping the pieces, you should be able to reconstruct the original two or three words.
For example, given the set of words
___ AD   ISLE   ODE   STY   TANG   US,
you would add the starter letter M to ISLE, ODE, and US
and pair them up with AD, STY, and TANG
to form MISLEAD, MODESTY, and MUSTANG.
The letters you add, read downward, will spell a word with no repeated letters. This word, which is given as a hint, will tell you the starter letter for each line.
