FOUR RHYMING RIDDLES

1)
To ease men of their care
I do both rend and tear
Their mother's bowels --- but still
There are but few
Who seem to take this ill.

2)
In a tree is a factory,
And many labor therein;
Yellow toes and yellow clothes,
What factory is that, do you suppose?

3)
My first is in apple, and also pear,
My second in desperate and also in dare,
My third is in sparrow, and also in lark,
My fourth in hello and also in hark.
My fifth is in seven and also in ten,
My whole is sought after by all good men.

4)
As round as an apple,
As deep as a pail;
It never cries out
Till it's caught by the tail.

Answers:

1. Plough
2. Beehive
3. PEACE
4. Bell
