RHYMING RIDDLE
From The Enigma
NPL Magazine - June, 2014
JOKEY BYRD (adapted)

[The two answer words to this flat differ by a single letter - which is added to the longer word.]

I sent my son to college,
Where I hoped he'd learn to think;
But now it seems that all he learned
Was how to swear and drink.

Perhaps I could blame the _ _ _ _ _ _ _,
That they were _ _ _ _ _ _ in some way;
And if that were true, indeed it would be sad.
But famed savants abound there,
So I may be pressing hope a tad.

Answers:

FACULTY
FAULTY

Note: In the original flat, the "college" is Harvard.
