The names of the party attendees are all homophones:
A patsy is one who takes the rap.
A kitty is a pool of funds.
To sue is to begin litigation.
A lulu is a humdinger (as a lie).
A gale is a stiff wind - this one involved a spelling change (Gail).
The first four words are homophones because the spelling is changed due to the capitalization difference between names and regular words. HEN is a red herring - having nothing to do with the solution - other than perhaps being an unfortunate reference to "hen party" - women gossiping - since all the guests are women.
