Each trio of short words below represents a familiar, longer word. To reconstruct each longer word, first drop the extraneous letter from one short word, without re-arranging the remaining letters. (The result may or may not be a word, and may be a single letter). Then switch the positions of two of the resulting trio members, and, finally, eliminate the spaces.
For example, given the clue words LUTE SO FAB, you would drop the F in FAB, switch AB and LUTE, then bring the three parts together to reveal ABSOLUTE. If the clue words were DIG APE REED, you would drop the A in APE, switch DIG and PE, then eliminate the spaces to form PEDIGREED. If the clue word were COME NONE DIE, you would drop the O in NONE, switch NNE and DIE, then combine the words to get COMEDIENNE.
