Party game for word geeks:

One person picks a word and the next person has to name a word that could follow it to make a familiar phrase or expression. The third person does the same thing with the word of the second person, and so on - or it just rotates between however many players there are. For example, if the first person picked the word WATER, the exchange could proceed as follows:
