POINTS TO PONDER V
From Reader's Digest
February, 1983
Contributed by J.C.M.

One Sunday morning after services, my husband told our priest that he felt there was a lack of friendliness among members of the congregation and that people were reluctant to greet one another at church. Agreeing, our priest said he had devised a plan to change things.
During services the next Sunday, the priest described the situation to the congregation and said that the following Sunday we would have a brief pause to allow parishioners to turn to those seated behind them and greet them with a friendly hello. After the service, my husband turned around to the woman behind us and said, "Good morning." She looked very uncomfortable and said, "That doesn't start until next Sunday."
