FIVE RHYMING RIDDLES
1)
What flares up and does a lot of good,
And when it dies, it's just a piece of wood?
2)
Hands she has, but not to hold;
Feet she has, but they are cold.
Teeth she has, but not to bite;
Eyes she has, but without sight.
3)
Black within, red without;
Four corners round about.
4)
Two bodies have I,
Though both joined in one;
The stiller I stand,
The faster I run.
5)
In spring I am gay,
In handsome array;
In summer more clothes I wear.
When colder it grows,
I fling off my clothes,
And in winter I'm totally bare.
