Fluid Dynamics - Presented to Rouslan Krechetnikov and Hans Meyer for studying the dynamics of liquid sloshing, to learn what happens when a person walks holding a cup of coffee.

Medicine - Presented to Emmanuel Ben-Soussan and Michel Antonietti, for advising doctors who perform colonoscopies how to minimize the chance their patients will explode.

2013
Biology/Astronomy -  Presented to Marie Dacke, Emily Baird, Marcus Byrne, Clarke Scholtz, and Eric Warrant, for discovering that when dung beetles get lost, they can navigate their way home by looking at the Milky Way.

Medicine - Presented to Masateru Uchiyama, Xiangyuan Jin, Qi Zhang, Toshihito Hirai, Atsushi Amano, Hisashi Bashuda, and Masanori Niimi, for assessing the effect of listening to opera on mice which have had heart transplant operations.
