Drop one letter from each word in the left-hand column and add the remaining letters to the front or back of one of the words in the right-hand column to form a new word - without re-arranging any letters.
For example, in the puzzle below, the O in GOING in the left-hand column could be dropped and the remaining letters (GING) could be placed before HAM in the right-hand column to get GINGHAM.
Similarly, the C in CITY could be dropped and the ITY could be added to the back of AMEN to get AMENITY.
1. GOING ADO
2. CITY ASTER
3. CHOMP HAM
4. ACE ARE
5. OVID SIN
6. HAVOC AMEN
Answers:
1. GINGHAM
2. AMENITY
3. COMPARE
4. SINCE
5. ASTEROID
6. AVOCADO
