Drop one letter from each word in the left-hand column and add the remaining letters - in the same order - to the front or back of one of the words in the right-hand column to form a new word. 

Example: If CHAOS were in the left-hand column and SIS in the right, you could drop the O in CHAOS and add the remaining CHAS to the front of SIS to get CHASSIS.
