Drop one letter from each word in the left-hand column and add the remaining letters - in the same order - to the front or back of one of the words in the right-hand column to form a new word.
Example: If NICHE were in the left-hand column and PAST in the right, you could drop the N from NICHE and add the ICHE to the back of PAST to get PASTICHE.
