NED

Think of a nine-letter, three syllable word. Each of the syllables has three letters and each is a common word in its own right. If the syllables are one, two, three, try to determine the word from the following:

Ned is always doing errands, though he never gets them done,
As he usually has one-two-three what his mother has sent him one.
When he counts what he has bought, it's as certain as can be,
That for every item that he two, he wholly one-two-three.

HINT:
1. The first syllable is FOR.

Answer:

FOR-GOT-TEN
