NPR Weekend Edition Sunday Puzzle

In each pair of words below, change one letter in each word to make two new words. The letters you change must be changed to the same letter, and the letters you change must be in the same position in both words. For example, given the words RELIEF and MALLET, you could change the first letter of each word to B to get BELIEF and BALLET.
