POINTS TO PONDER X

From Reader's Digest:

I watched a mother and her young daughter in a toy store looking at rather expensive dolls. The little girl would ask her mother what each doll could do. "She opens and closes her eyes," "She cries," "She wets," the mother would tell her. As they shopped, the mother drew her daughter's attention to a more reasonably priced doll. "Does she do anything?" the child asked. "Yes," the mother replied, "She listens."
The girl reached eagerly for the doll.
