1. Launched in 1797, the frigate U.S.S. Constitution was nicknamed "Old Ironsides" because its wooden hull survived many sea battles.

2. U.S. nickels are are 75% copper and only 25% nickel.

3. Tennessee Williams was born Thomas Lanier Williams in Columbus, Mississippi. He changed his name to "Tennessee" in honor of his East Tennessee forbears.

4. Venetian blinds were invented in the 1700s in Persia. To this day, the French call Venetian blinds  "Les Persienes" - a tribute to their true place of origin.

5. The Woodstock Festival was held in Bethel, New York.

He moved to Mexico from California to avoid Prohibition.

10. There are 216 stitches on a baseball.
