Twenty girls stood against the wall on one side of the high school gym, and 20 boys stood across from them on the other wall. The boys were instructed to walk half the distance between them and the girls every ten seconds and continue doing this until they met. There were three adults present: a mathematician, a physicist, and the gym teacher. How long will it take for the boys and girls to meet?
Answers:
Mathematician: They will never meet.
Physicist: They will meet after an infinite amount of time.
Gym Teacher: Well........in about forty seconds I'm going to lose my teaching credential.
