SIX RHYMING RIDDLES

1)
What is that which all things devours,
Birds, beasts, trees, and flowers?
No man or woman can abide
Its unrelenting, onward tide.
All man's creations, all sea and land,
Nothing can its march withstand.

2)
My first on roads and roofs is found,
My second means acquire;
My whole is often shot at,
Though to offend it has no desire.

3)
Sunshine, bananas, and phone book
All share one common look;
The third in a set,
You can guess, I'll bet.

4)
A precipitation of weather comes your way;
The solution: add a "d", and it will all run away.

5)
It has three letters, but the sound of one;
It's enjoyed in most countries under the sun.

6)
I'm made of lead and totally dead,
Yet I enable you your ideas to spread;
Even though you nearly cut off my head,
I never complain, but obey instead.
