FIVE RHYMING RIDDLES

1)
In a sea of black there lies a house,
The sea's as quiet as a mouse;
The house is painted blue and green,
It's a home we all have seen.

In this sea there may be others,
Homes with children, fathers, mothers;
But of this no one is certain,
Only that our house life has chosen.

2)
You may praise your good fortune,
Or curse all you hate;
Yet I rule all your chaos,
And gamble with your fate.

By some I'm avoided,
By others fair game;
Called fat or slim,
My meaning's the same.

3)
No ink, no words, no talk, no glory,
Yet they help you to change your story.

4)
I run forever with a roaring call,
Yet I have no throat or legs at all;
Rocks wear away as I grow,
If you challenge me, you'll end up below.

5)
Stuffed with cotton,
Sometimes forgotten,
As the years go flying by;
Most often furry,
Most often soft,
Named for Mr. Roosevelt.
