TWO RHYMING RIDDLES

You hear the waves crash on the ocean shore,

But really what you hear is something more;

The purring of a cat, the roaring of a bear,

I travel the world through the air;

Everywhere you are or have ever been,

I've been there too in whisper and din.

2)

In history you'll find me - just take a good look,

I follow news and precede book;

I fill with cheer, wonder, or fright,

I'm the measure for every building - and name its height.
