THREE RHYMING RIDDLES

1)

Born in nature, shaped by man;

Getting shorter is my life's plan.

To show the way was my intent

Though now rarely used in that bent.

More of an accessory in the world today,

Yet when truly needed, I'm the hero of the day.

2)

Three eyes have I

All in a row,

When the red one opens,

You better not go.

3)

We are guards of a precious gate,

Sometimes leaning backward,

Sometimes standing straight.

Some are short, some are tall,

We never surrender,

Though we might fall.

Some of us wear paint -

Often covered in black,

We always defend, but never attack.
