 LOGICAL THINKING II

1. Twelve people are in a house. Each one is of a different height from all the others. The rule is that you must shake hands with every person shorter than you. How many handshakes will there be?

2. A father and son are in a car accident. Two ambulances arrive and the father and son are taken to two different hospitals. The boy needs emergency surgery. The surgeon walks in, looks at the patient and says, "I can't operate on this boy. He is by son." How is this possible?

3. Two fathers and two sons go on a picnic. They have three hamburgers. They cook the three hamburgers, and each one has a whole hamburger. How is this possible?

Answers:

1. None ......... You will want to shake the hand of a person shorter than you, but he will not want to shake your hand, because you are not shorter than he is.

2. The doctor is the boy's mother.

3. There are only three people at the picnic - a grandfather, a father, and a son. The father is both a father and a son.
