I'm both ugly and attractive,

Both lazy and so active;

I go through two stages,

At different life ages.

I'm both captured and free,

Tell me now, what can I be?

I sleep all day, working nights instead,

I wear a big hat on my small, bright head;

My job is helping you to see your way,

But I'm not a map or a guide you pay.

3)

The subject of song, a symbol of peace,

My end ever sought, though it can't be reached;

A promise of hope, though I'm not alive,

Without sun or rain I could never thrive.
