There are hundreds of compound words in English, such as homework and bedroom. But, in general, we cannot reverse the order of the two words in the compound. For example, we don't say work home or room bed. But there are some interchangeable compounds - that is, compound words that still make sense in reverse order. For example, the word OUTLOOK would still make sense as LOOKOUT or LOOK OUT. Use the following clues to identify some interchangeable compound words.

1. Slowdown in business
2. Curtain painted with a scene, as in a play
3. Breakfast menu item
4. Large buildings for storing merchandise
5. Tennis stroke
6. Tip over
7. Neighborhood emergency building
8. To say mean, hurtful things about someone
9. Freeway feature
10. It's in the sink
11. Basketball strategy
