TWO RHYMING RIDDLES
1)
A score without a game,
A staff not for the lame;
With five letters named,
With seven letters tamed.
2)
A maiden's head, so deathly still,
Cold and quiet, yet not ill;
Her long tresses gently lie,
Upon the deep - below the sky.
Food for man and creatures' lair,
Name both the maiden and her hair.
Answers:

2. A rock in the ocean covered by seaweed
