PALINDROMES VII

FORWARD AND BACKWARD SENTENCES

In the following sentences, the individual words are not palindromes, but the words are in order such that the sentence can be read as a palindrome. In other words, the sentence reads the same from left to right as from right to left - just like a palindromic word.  (Ignore punctuation.)

1. Bores are people that say that people are bores.
2. Women understand men; few men understand women.
3. God knows man; what is doubtful is what man knows God?
4. You can cage a swallow, can't you? But you can't swallow a cage, can you?
