Choose the appropriate letter whose name, when pronounced, can be added to the beginning of a word to create an entirely different word. For example, placing N ("en") in front of CHANT produces ENCHANT. Some letters can work for more than one word, but there is at least one solution that uses each of the twenty-four letters once and only once.  (H and W are not used.)

1. _ CHANT
2. _ AMPLE
3 ._ WITNESS
4. _  BIRD
5. _ TRAY
6. _ ZONE
7. _ DEN
