Choose the appropriate letter whose name, when pronounced, can be added to the end  of a word to create an entirely different word. For example, adding an S (ess) to FIN gets you FINESSE. There is at least one solution that uses each of the 23 letters once and only once. (H, U, and W are not used.) I have starred (*) clues which I know can be answered by more than one letter (though there may be others).

1. FIN + _
2. SEWN + _
3. FRIZZ + _  *
4. EUNICE + _   [an acronym]
5. DAY + _
6. BONDS + _
7. TENDON + _
8. CROW + _
9. WIN + _
10. RASH + _
11. MAIN + _
12. BLEW + _
