SPOONERGRAM
From The Enigma
NPL Magazine - Nov/Dec 2010
HOB

Pinocchio winced as he stared in the mirror,
His lengthening schnozz couldn't be clearer;
He worried his day of demise might be near,
So, quick as his wooden fingers would admit
He called his oncologist lickety-split.

He shouted, "My nose has expanded a bit,
I fear that the issue could be KNOTTY PINE!"
"Maintain a relaxed state of calm. You are fine,"
Said the doctor, whose word choice was oft POTTY NINE.

"It would seem you have uttered a mendacious lie,
And your untruthful falsehood is causally why
Your poor nose has grown bigger.
You'll live and won't die.

As a doctor with medical training I know
That your growth is benignly unthreatening, so
If your forthrightly honest,
Away it will go!"

Answer:
