PARAPROSDOKIANS X
From Reader's Digest
Contributed by Barbara Ray
One afternoon after the death of our grandfather, my sister Carol lay huddled on her bed, sobbing forlornly. "What's the matter, honey?" Mother asked her gently.
"I miss my Grandpa, and I miss talking to him about my problems," Carol responded.
"I know, dear," said Mother, "I miss him too. But can't you talk to me?" Carol shook her head vehemently. "Why not?" Mother persisted.
"Because you're who we talked about," sobbed Carol.
