MUTUAL RELACEMENTS

Each of the six-letter words below has a letter repeated - not necessarily consecutively. Change that letter to another letter in the word, and change that other letter to the one that was repeated. The result will be a new six-letter word. [Note from JA: I found this puzzle to be quite difficult.]

Example: SUNNED becomes SUDDEN - the two N's become D's and the D becomes an N.
