 TWO STUMPERS

1. Think of a five-letter tree followed by a three-letter tree. Place a B in front of the five-letter tree, and a D in front of the three-letter tree. Smush the ten letters together and you'll have a new word. What is it?

HINTS:
a. Both trees begin with "A".
b. The ten-letter word means "nonsense".

2. Think of an eleven-letter word with two D's. Remove the two D's and you will have a world capital followed by a sign of the Zodiac. What's the word?

HINT:
The eleven-letter word is a kind of animal (plural).

Answers:

1. The trees are ALDER and ASH - BALDERDASH
2. The word is DROMEDARIES - ROME ARIES
