NPR Weekend Edition Sunday Puzzle
January 3, 2021
By David Curin
Presented by Will Shortz

Think of a two-word phrase, five letters in the first word, two in the second. Replace the last letter of the second word by the next letter in the alphabet and you will have a palindrome. What is the phrase?

Answer:

QUEUE UP - QUEUE UQ

Note from JA:
A variation of this puzzle would be to interchange the Q and P in QUEUE UP to get a phrase that, when read backward and spaced appropriately, also spells QUEUE UP - PU EUEUQ.
