CONSONANTCY I

CONSONANTCY is two or more words or phrases that share the same consonants in the same order, with any number of vowels in between. Y is treated as a vowel. For example, acorn, crayon, ocarina share the same consonants  c - r - n  in the same order - with various vowels in between. 

SUCCESSIVE CONSONANTCY is consonantcy with the consonants in successive alphabetical order. Example: cure, dose. Instead of the c and r repeating in the second word, the d succeeds the c and the s succeeds the r. (The consonants stay in the same order.)

In the clever, but difficult, flat below, the cuewords can be answered with three words in successive consonantcy. The three words have 5, 5, and 6 letters - in that order.

Is it FIRST or truth that hot liquids

   cure colds?

If you think it's a fact, what makes  

   SECOND to do?

Buy a THIRD, boil water, and thwart

   all those molds.

After trying those things, I'd say drink

   some juice too.
