Specialized Vocabulary

The answer to each clue will be a word ending in IZE  or ISE.

1. Remove objectionable parts of a book

2. Do business with or treat condescendingly

3. To inform or make aware, as of a situation

4. Get people together and move them to action 

5. Captivate an audience, as in a powerful speech

6. Make religiously binding, as a wedding ceremony

7. Do things to gain power, wealth, etc. only for yourself

8. Preach the gospel (or other cause) in an effort to get converts

9. Give a speech remembering and praising the deceased at a funeral

10. Associate with people (often the opposite sex) - especially when one is not supposed to - as in the military
