The game was tied after 9, but going into the 10th, the visitors took the lead. It was up to Casey to pull off the win for the home team. As fate would have it , Casey proceeded to strike out. This time, however, his teammates mobbed him in celebration. Casey had secured the victory! How was this possible?

Answer:

Casey was the "anchor man" (last bowler to bowl) on his bowling team. The team was bowling a  visiting team at Casey's home bowling center. Casey got up in the 10th frame and "struck out" - which means to throw three consecutive strikes in the tenth frame - thus winning the game for his home team.

(Three strikes in a row in bowling is called a "turkey", but in the tenth (and final) frame it's called a "strike out".)
