LOGICAL THINKING XXII

Colossal Book of Word Play
Martin Gardner

What is unusual about the structure of this poem by Lewis Carroll?

I often wondered when I cursed,
Often feared where I would be ---
Wondered where she'd yield her love,
When I yield, so will she.
I would her will be pitied!
Cursed be love! She pitied me .......

Answer:

The poem reads the same forward as it does when the first word of each line is read in order, the second word of each line is read in order, the third word of each line is read in order, etc.
