DROP TWO LETTERS - GET A NEW WORD LXXI
Dell PennyPress Variety Puzzles
June, 2019
Drop two letters from each word and re-arrange the remaining letters to get a new word. For example, KINGDOM becomes DOING if you drop the K and M and re-arrange the remaining letters. The dropped letters - two from each of the 13 words, comprise the 26 letters of the alphabet, each letter used only once. The original version of this puzzle is much more difficult - giving the answer word first and asking the solver to pick the required two letters from the alphabet to get the longer word. This version of the puzzle is still hard, and the letters to be dropped are given as hints below the words. The answers to the puzzle are unique, because you're using all the letters of the alphabet, once each.
