Joan Ward

This cryptic crossword is difficult. Remember to break up the clues into their component parts - separating the strict answer to the clue from the wordplay disguising it. For example, given the clue, State doctors' group goes after a medical facility, the answer would be ALABAMA. A medical facility is A LAB. A doctors' group is AMA. AMA goes after A LAB = ALABAMA, which is a state.
