Change one letter in each word in the left-hand column to a new one. The result may or may not be a word. Place these letters to the front or back of a word in the right-hand column to create a longer word. For example, the letter P in PROM in the puzzle below could be changed to T - leaving TROM. These letters can attach themselves to BONE in the right-hand column to become TROMBONE. The longer words will all be in the same category, and the letters that are changed, shown in ( ), reading down, will spell another word in that category.
