ODDS AND ENDS
What is unusual about the words PERUSE and NONPLUSSED?
Answer:
They have recently become contronyms.
PERUSE used to mean to mean to read very carefully, but it has come to mean to look over something briefly.
NONPLUSSED used to mean to be flummoxed - confused and at a loss. It has come to mean undisturbed, not bothered
