What do the following pairs of words have in common?

HEAVY - DARK
YOUNG - NEW
WRONG - LEFT
WIN - FIND
COARSE - SICK
SOFT - EASY

Answer:

Both words in each pair are opposites of the same word:

LIGHT
OLD
RIGHT
LOSE
FINE
HARD

Another way of saying it is that the six answer words are homographs - words which have at least two different meanings. Each word in the question pairs is an opposite of one of those meanings. (Ex. LIGHT and HEAVY / LIGHT and DARK)
