FOUR RIDDLES

1)
A house with two occupants,
Sometimes one, rarely three;
Breach the walls,
Eat the borders,
Throw the house away.

2)
The beginning of all things,
The end of eternity;
There is but one path
From my beginning to my end.
Though I seem to be magnificent,
I am the embodiment of indifference.

3)
I can be short, but never long,
I can be hot, but never cold;
I can be kept and I can be lost,
But once lost, I can't be found.

4)
I'm slow and imperciptible when made by nature,
Instantaneous when made by man;
In nature, the whole earth must turn to produce or lose me,
By man, I am summoned or dismissed at the touch of a finger.
