LOOK BUT DON'T TOUCH

Watch me from a distant place,
See me kiss the sky;
Watch as from around me race
Those who live nearby.

Rivers that engulf the trees,
Down my sides flow with ease;
Neither man nor man's machines
Can hope to slow my fearsome stream.

My neighbors flee in terror
From my burning wrath,
Nothing withstands my power,
As I carve my deadly path.

I melt the earth and boil the seas,
I choke the air, and with poisons seize
All around me in my grasp,
My molten touch the final trap.

Answer:

Volcano
