THREE RHYMING RIDDLES

1)
There was a man of Adam's race,
He had a certain dwelling place;
'Twas neither Heaven, Earth, nor Hell.
Who was this man and where did he dwell?

2)
Where you see one of us,
You'll likely see the other;
Though we are opposites,
We are each other's brother.

Black and white in the hair of some,
Or sitting on the table;
A single letter tells our names,
And serves us as a label.

3)
Friend to the thief and deceiver,
Foe to many a child;
Half the earth it blankets,
Half it leaves quite wild.
Slowly it creeps, welcome or no,
Bringing most creatures to a stop;
But make no mistake,
While there are some who dwell in its presence,
Most of us thrive in its wake.
